The Evolution: Part 1

As told by the founders themselves, creating Bona Fide is about an evolution for them in both a MACRO and MICRO way. So now we are going to tell the first part of this story: the macro transformation, a worldwide organic revolution that is growing and touching more and more people every day.

Past

One of the hardest things to overcome about people’s lifestyle is the state in which we tend to stick with the status quo because it’s easier and familiar. It’s harder than we think to make people change their habits. Thirty years ago, the idea of organic, farm-to-table, eco-friendly and organic food and drink was seen as hippie and eccentric. That includes the spirits and cocktails consumption, were the big well-known brands dominated the market and didn’t leave any room for small producers for a long period.

But in the last decade the seek for clean and organic products exploded. The consumption of products such as produce, food and textiles from smaller organic producers has grown exponentially, together with the craft beverages industry, but the percentage of true organic beverages did not reflected the growth of organic products in other sectors.

Present

Today, it is possible buy organic food and beverage products in gas station convenience stores, vending machines and in multi-billion dollar organic-oriented grocery store chains that densely populate the country. The consciousness that organic, clean products make sense has achieve an incredible reach. We are experiencing today a consumer and product evolution that is saying NO to fake ingredients, cheap industrial shortcuts, harmful chemicals in our food and beverage products and on our land.

Also, the motivation to buy organic, cleanly-produced products has evolved over the years, becoming not only a form of taking care of the health but also a form of personal activism. Not only these products are healthier, they also stands for a cause, to support farmers and producers who operate with environmental integrity and responsibility. People feel like they are doing something proactive when they consume these products, affirming their hope in a better future for the planet.

We join a growing, overthrowing movement that insists on the highest standard of what we put in our body and what we put on our land.

Future

Bona Fide, as a company and by its products, has in its guiding principles this exact concept that more and more people are looking for: products and producers they can believe in, who are guided by ideals, who provide the highest quality, authentic, organic and sustainable, “clean” products.

Craft spirit producers who grow their own raw organic ingredients are practically non-existent and we came in to fill this gap: we are much more than just spirits and cocktails producers, we are also farmers, reducing carbon foot-print and ensuring the highest quality.

In the making of our spirits and beverages we never, ever use artificial ingredients, non-organic elements, artificial flavorings, or industrial chemicals. As a result, our products embrace the only way we see consumer products being created, developed and becoming available nowadays: earth-friendly, health-friendly, with quality ingredients, and at competitive pricing.

Bona Fide’s founder’s story about creating “seed to bottle” organic and gluten-free spirits and cocktails, made from the best ingredients grown on our own farm, delicious products that allow people to stand for something even as they sit down for a drink!
